Spencer

Fine, I’ll say it. I wasn’t crazy about the movie Spencer. Stephanie, Sara Grace, Parker, Grant and I saw it last night at a very small theatre and it was a surprise.

Don’t get me wrong, the film was gorgeous and the costumes were exquisite. It felt like a Wes Anderson film, but a horror film based on Princess Diana’s life. It makes sense since the director was the same one from Black Swan and Jackie.

I thought Kristin Stuart did a phenomenal job, and she looked just like her. Her mannerisms and even the way she walked exuded Lady Spencer.

The entire film is based around 3 days at the Sandringham home at Christmas time, and the up close and personal account of her failing marriage, betrayal, isolation and her not so secret eating disorder. The other characters didn’t talk much, besides the sons and a the maid servant (that fell in love with her?)

Glad I saw it, but I probably will never watch it again.

The friends came over for a few minutes afterward and I stressfully checked into my flight to grab a aisle seat near my friends.

I can’t believe that it’s already here! TOMORROW, y’all!
