Packing

I spent the evening with my 12th grade girls at youth ministry and we talked about gratitude and trusting in God. We even used my student leader guide! They were so tired, so I asked a lot of questions and we chatted. Some nights you don’t know if anything you say will get through to them, but regardless, at least they know you’re there and that you’re a friend.

Parker, Grant, Hannah S, Mike and I ate a late dinner at Freddy’s per our late Wednesday night tradition. I look forward to this random hangout session, where we give Parker a hard time about anything and Hannah and I giggle about stupid things. Feels kind of like we’re high schoolers again? Except that we go home willingly to our own apartments without a curfew.

I spent the rest of my night trying on outfits and packing my suitcase strategically. I’ve been planning for a couple of months, and I think I’ve created a capsule wardrobe accidentally. Everything is variations of black, camel, white and plaid.

I organized all of my outfits and took pictures and numbered them. Usually I don’t bring enough clothes, so it helps me remember. Then I felt satisfied as I packed them into neat square luggage cubes with a final “tada!” I don’t know who I’ve become, but I kind of like her.

Anyways, wish me luck tonight. I don’t know if I’ll be able to sleep.
